The answer to corruption is reform from within, not defunding. God has given His people lawful avenues to speak, to vote, to petition, to teach, and to give with conscience. Time and again, faithful members have used these tools with courage and unity — and the Lord has honored their obedience.
The constituency floor — be a delegate
Show up. Attend your constituency sessions. Seek to be delegated. From the floor, you can speak, propose, and help shape the agenda. Presence is the first step to influence.
The vote (leaders are elected — and can be unelected by people who show up)
Leaders are not appointed; they are elected. Then they can be unelected — by the very people who put them in. Your vote is your voice. Use it.
The petition — signed
Petitions place concerns and proposals on the record. They compel consideration, create accountability, and unite voices. Sign, share, and stand with others for change.
The public voice (speaking and teaching openly — what this very site is doing)
Speak truth in love. Teach, write, and testify. Public clarity lights the path for others and keeps issues from being hidden. Openness is a protection for the church and a call to return to Scripture.
Faithful giving through the storehouse (return the tithe, and direct your offerings by conscience)
Return the tithe to the Lord through His authorized storehouse. Give offerings by your conscience to support God’s work. Giving with integrity empowers reform; it is not the problem — misuse is.
It Has Worked Before
1901: The “Kingly Power” Broken
In 1901, the Lord’s people, using the very processes He provided, reorganized the church. They ended presidential “kingly power” and restored a system of checks and balances, representation, and shared authority. It was reform from within — and God blessed it.
The Regional Conferences
When serious concerns arose, members did not leave. They organized, petitioned, voted, and spoke. Through lawful, persistent reform, they helped change policies, restore biblical practice, and strengthen unity. The church did not split — it was healed.
The Heart of Reform
Reform is slower than withholding, but it is the way of love. It does not punish the faithful. It seeks the good of all, and it honors the Lord who owns the tithe and the storehouse. Stand. Speak. Vote. Petition. Teach. Give faithfully. Together, we can make a difference — for His glory, and for His church.
